Geneviève Levivier’s mix-media works, like her in situ installations, echo nature in its wild and poetic aspect, in a tangible and yet uncertain, abstract trace. The transfiguration of organic materials, at the centre of her artistic reflection, carries a doubt between what is given to see and what is perceived. The shadow plays with the ever-changing light in the interlacing colours and the depth of the materials. The luminescence, essential in the current work, induces an unlimited world that delights the senses by the strangeness of its borders. In this space-time that is both frozen and totally open, the viewer’s gaze is a component in its own right. He projects his inner world into it, just as he escapes from it through contemplation, forgetting himself in the infinite meanders of a transfigured nature.

Les oeuvres mix-media de Geneviève Levivier, comme ses installations in situ, font écho à la nature dans son aspect sauvage et poétique, en une trace tangible et pourtant incertaine, abstraite. La transfiguration des matériaux organiques, au centre de sa réflexion artistique, porte le doute entre ce qui est donné à voir et ce qui est perçu. L’ombre y joue avec la lumière toujours changeante dans les entrelacs colorés et la profondeur des matières. La luminescence, essentielle dans le travail actuel, induit un monde illimité qui ravit les sens par l’étrangeté de ses frontières. Dans cet espace-temps à la fois figé et totalement ouvert, le regard du spectateur est une composante à part entière. Il y projette son monde intérieur, comme il y échappe par une contemplation, un oubli de soi dans les méandres infinis d’une nature transfigurée.

Since 2008, Geneviève Levivier has been collaborating with the most renowned fashion houses. Her studio A+ZDesign has produced exclusive and innovative handmade or digital textile collections for Dior Couture, Azzedine Alaïa, Jean-Paul Gaultier, Balenciaga, Paco Rabanne, Atelier Lesage... among others equally renowned, held in confidentiality. She has also created and produced for a long time custom-made special effects including her famous Polymer Laces for the high-end textile industry: Darquer Laces, Solstiss Laces, Lagattolla Laces...
Our Polymer Lace and numerous textile creations have dressed the most prestigious Parisian catwalks since 2008 to 2016.

Today, she devotes herself exclusively to her own creations, from high-end design to collections of high-end stoles in limited series, alongside her artwork in galleries and art centers.
